Accomplishments

Here’s some of what we’ve done since 2016, and here’s the GOOD TROUBLE we hope you will get involved in with Indivisible Charlotte:

  • Celebrated our SEVENTH anniversary in January 2024! We were amazed and inspired by the turnout, the passionate youth, and the energized crowd—ready to drive change in our community. We reflected on our impactful political and community achievements over the last seven years and outlined ambitious goals for 2024. Catch up with the presentation slide deck.

  • Hosted 5 Racial Equity and Inclusion trainings with nationally renowned trainer to help foster better understanding of our community and how we can fight for everyone

  • Written tens of thousands of postcards to voters

  • Knocked thousands of doors to discuss candidates and issues

  • Made thousands of phone calls to educate and inform voters

  • Organized dozens of high profile protests, rallies and press conferences demanding action and accountability from our congressional representatives

  • Helped flip the US Senate, elect a new President and the first African American, first Asian, and first woman Vice President, as well as helped elect many state and local Democratic candidates giving Governor Cooper back his veto power

  • Hosted dozens of social gatherings to network and foster camaraderie among other like-minded, progressive folks

  • Held informative monthly meetings with panels and experts from the community to better understand issues and necessary action

  • Our advocacy and members have been featured by TIME Magazine, CNN, MSNBC, NBC and local television
